Postcards of Home is a personal and nostalgic project capturing the essence of the cities that have shaped my life through a series of illustrated postcards. Each postcard represents a unique stage of my journey, as if sent by my past selves: Ulsan: Featuring whales, a symbol of my birthplace and identity, reflecting the city’s maritime legacy and my lifelong fascination with these majestic creatures. Istanbul: Celebrating the abundant street cats and the adventurous spirit of my family’s travels, surrounded by the city's lush natural beauty. Chennai: A vibrant depiction of koi fish, inspired by a childhood trip to a koi farm with a friend whose pond sparked awe and wonder. Boston: A playful nod to roaming peacocks and the startling realization of my bird phobia, paired with a pandemic-era reminder to “stay home.”
